9 Cypress Baseball Players Transfer to Four-Year Universities; 7 to NCAA Division I Schools The Cypress College baseball program has seen over 360 student-athletes move on to play at four-year universities in its storied history. In the face of shortened season the Chargers are continuing the tradition of moving players on to the next level under fourth year Head Coach Anthony Hutting. 4 Cypress Women’s Basketball Players Headed to the Next Level The Cypress College women’s basketball program completed a successful (21-7) season in which they made a trip to the CCCAA Regional Championships. Four players from the 2019-2020 season have since committed to play at the next level at three different four-year universities. CCCAA Board Approves Proposal To Go Forward With Sports In 2020-2021 The CCCAA Board of Directors added hope for all California Community College sports teams, including those participating in the Orange Empire Conference, by unanimously approving a plan to allow the return of athletics competition in the 2020-2021 sports season. 2010s All-Decade Teams Released Cypress Athletics has released eight all-decade teams compiled of the top six athletes on each team whom competed for their respective program between the 2010-2011 and 2019-2020 season. MohrHoops Summer Basketball Camp

MohrHoops Summer Basketball Camp Cypress College women’s basketball coach, Margaret Mohr, is hosting her 22nd annual “MohrHoops” summer basketball camp. This year’s camps are scheduled for July 13th-July 17th and August 10th-August 14th. Boys and girls ages 7-14 can participate in either Monday-Friday session. Head Athletic Trainer, Scott Tucker, Inducted into the CCCATA Hall of Fame The CCCATA (California Community College Athletic Trainers Association) announced that Cypress College’s head athletic trainer, Scott Tucker, has been honored as the 2020 Hall of Fame Inductee. Scott will be the 21st member of the Hall of Fame and will be presented the award at the California Community College Athletic Trainers Association’s conference in San Diego, CA in April of 2021. Celebrating the Success of Spring 2020

Celebrating the Success of Spring 2020 The Cypress College spring season was a large enough sample size to know that we were on to something special in 2020. The Cypress Chargers were forced out of action due to the pandemic of COVID-19 which is impacting nearly 9,500 student athletes who watched their season come to an abrupt halt. The CCCAA unanimously agreed to cancel the 2020 season on March 19 which officially put a close on seven Cypress Chargers’ seasons – baseball, softball, women’s tennis, men’s golf, women’s beach volleyball, and Men’s/Women’s Swim.
